The College of Engineering / University of Al-Muthanna was established on 7/24/2008 and according to the university order No. 4450 with the unremitting efforts of a group of professors and qualified staff
The college received its students for more than a year in order to prepare the requirements for the opening of the college, including methodological vocabulary, laboratories, workshops, and administrative and technical requirements.
Two scientific departments were opened, the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering at the beginning of its first academic year. In 2013, the Department of Architectural Engineering was opened, which includes (8) teachers who hold graduate degrees in architecture and intermediate arts. When the college was established, the college included 17 teaching graduates in various engineering disciplines and 30 administrative and technical staff, and two years after its inauguration, the number of professors reached 43 teachers and 64 employees. Efforts are still continuing to recruit professors and staff in line with the developments in the college. .
