The College of Engineering was established in the year 2008, with the efforts of qualified professors who were the first appointees in the establishment of the College and received its students at the beginning of the academic year (2008-2009), as the College included the Departments of Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering, and in 2013 the Department of Architecture was established.
During the course of the college, which included 32 teachers at its inauguration and reception of students, this number increased to become today (76) teachers. They contributed to graduating batches of qualified engineers, who were sent to the College of Engineering in Muthanna and Iraq to contribute to its construction and development.
