Our vision is to support society with an educated and enlightened architectural generation capable of providing job opportunities for our students in a variety of fields of architecture in multiple projects that will contribute to developing human life and moving it to a better future by developing the content of our architectural program to keep pace with the latest developments in developed countries around the world.
- Ability to recognize, recognize, define, formulate and solve engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics.
- The ability to produce engineering designs that meet requirements within certain constraints by applying analysis and synthesis to the design process.
- Ability to establish and perform appropriate measurements and tests while ensuring quality, analyzing and interpreting results, and utilizing engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
- Ability to skillfully communicate orally with a range of people and in writing at various management levels.
- Ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering issues and make outstanding decisions taking into account the impacts of financial, environmental and social matters around the world.
- The ability to recognize the necessity of continuous growth of professional knowledge and how to search for, evaluate, accumulate and apply it correctly.
- Ability to work appropriately within teams, set goals, plan activities, meet deadlines, and manage risk and uncertainty.
- The ability to meet the requirements of technological progress and recognize shared responsibility towards the environment and society through the reuse of architectural vocabulary, environmental sustainability, and its positive impact.
The Architecture Program was established at Al-Muthanna University to give its students a comprehensive education in the basics of architecture, its applications, and its branches, so that they can practice architecture at the professional level. The program's mission is to provide them with the confidence and experience necessary to face the technical and social challenges of the future. It will enable future graduates to achieve a basic level and effective participation in work sites as architects, in addition to managing engineering projects and supervising the implementation of designs.
The program dedicates itself to qualifying students within three to five years of graduation to achieve the following:
- Developing or transforming into competent and participating architects capable of applying their intellectual, technical and administrative qualifications in planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, studying, reviewing and calculating the cost of urban and architectural environment projects, rehabilitating heritage buildings and addressing community problems on the urban and architectural aspects.
- Using their skills in studying, analyzing and designing buildings, determining the foundations of guidance for building facades, designing functional spaces for each project separately, evaluating the cost of projects, using modern engineering tools, and contributing to directing the technical activities of architecture projects and related projects.
- Ability to participate effectively in their communities and profession by developing oral, written, visual and schematic communication abilities when working to manage project engineering teams or participating in the preparation of their own projects' overall plans and basic ideas.
- Launch a continuing education program that includes studies leading to work permits or a postgraduate degree in engineering that provides continuous development of their technical capabilities, management skills and professional experience.
- Improving graduates’ awareness and understanding of the profession’s requirements, ethics, quality of performance, safety and sustainability, allowing them to be engineers who are aware of society’s problems and able to find appropriate solutions in the field of architecture.
