The characteristics of the materials collected such as gradation, modified Proctor compaction test, CBR, Specific gravity, Atterberg's limits, Tri-axial tests will be conducted. The study aims to research the appropriate proportion of RAP that can be added to the subgrade soil to produce the maximum resistance to penetration, which could be used to stabilize subgrade soil.1) Abbas Alaa Sarhan

6hma@mu.edu.iqMr. Dr. Hussein Mandil Ashour Design of deep foundation on soft soil for stack of cement factoryStack of cement factory is the main component of the cement plant. It is of significant height that may be subjected to lateral forces due to wind in excess of its weight. Soft soil cannot withstand this huge load, so it needs to design a deep foundation (pile foundation) of different types so that the stack will be stable. Different types of pile foundation may be proposed to adopt for this purpose, such as bored concrete piles, driven piles, stone piles, and screw steel piles. A comparison between the cost and safety of these types will be done to select the suitable one regarding safety and cost. 1) Ruqaya Majid Abdel Salman

7hadi.mohammed@mu.edu.iqM. Hadi Muhammad ShayalDifferent Monitoring methods for buildings deformationDuring the whole life of the buildings, they are affected by forces of different types and directions, which results in the tilt or displacement of the buildings, which is reflected in the use and safety of the buildings. These problems must be observed by monitoring the tilt and displacement of all kinds. This research mainly presents a review of the different methods of monitoring buildings and measuring inclinations and displacements in different directions that can happen to any building. Focus on survey methods and devices to perform that task.1) Hossam Atheer Abdel Wahed

9yousif.mousa@mu.edu.iqM.D. Youssef Abdel Kazem MuhammadMonitoring and Analysis of Vertical and Horizontal Deformations of a small building using total station and levelThe project aims to monitor and analyze the horizontal and vertical subsidence of the Engineering Affairs Building behind the College of Engineering building. The project requires the use of a pepper machine and a total station. The work begins by establishing reference points outside the body of the building. Then, specific points are identified in the body of the building and on the roof. All points on the body of the building are monitored from reference points so that three-dimensional coordinates (X, Y, Z) are calculated. After a period of time, for example 3 months, the points are re-monitored to calculate new coordinates. The final step is related to comparing the coordinates calculated from the first stage with the second stage and analyzing the results to find out whether the building is stable or if there is a certain subsidence in order to analyze the extent of its danger to the structure.1) Haider Jamal Atheeb

12basim.jabar@mu.edu.iqA.M.D. Bassem Jabbar AbbasEffect of pile cap height on the maximum load of group pilesThe idea revolves around studying the effect of the height of the pile hat above the level of the natural ground and the effect of the amount of height on the maximum load of a group of piles in the presence of water above the level of the natural ground, as well as the amount of effect of burying the hat inside the soil on the maximum load. The special model is created using programs based on finite elements theory and forming relationships between the height of the hat above ground level and the maximum load based on determining the permissible precipitation (25 or 50 mm), as well as the relationship between the burial depth of the pile hat with the maximum load for the same precipitation. .
The project aims to familiarize students with the use of digital programs, creating models, and understanding the nature and use of piles carrying specific loads within a waterway.

16othman.h.zinkaah@mu.edu.iqM.D. Othman Hamid ZangahAnalysis and Design of Multistorey Building Using hand calculations and Sap softwareA building of two stories will be analyzed and designed according to the ACI code. Students will be able to identify and apply the design codes of reinforced concrete members. Students will benefit from lectures given in the third year for concrete and theory of structures to analyze and design the selected building. The members that will be designed include slabs, beams and columns. Shear, torsion, and serviceability limit stats will be considered in the design. The load will be transferred from slabs to beams and columns and then to the foundations. Additionally, the results calculated manually will be compared with the SAP software. Moment distribution method as well as ACI code factor will be compared with those calculated by SAP software. Full details of the building will be drawn using AutoCAD program as those used in the field. 1) Nour Jabbar Faraj

20atheer.muhammed@mu.edu.iqM. M. Atheer Muhammad Ali Jassim Factors that influence the choice of mode of transportAn exploratory study by creating two models for no less than 100 surveys and distributing them to the general public and some residential homes from various places and governorates in Iraq, one using Google Form and the other paper surveys, collecting the results and analyzing them graphically using Excel and Word, and then identifying those common and necessary factors that affect the choice of This means of transportation is considered one of the classic models in future transportation planning.
This project aims to address through planning specific problems or broad transportation concerns at the local level. Transport planning is essential in enhancing community interaction, shaping cities, improving the quality of life and enabling economic activities. It is also necessary to achieve sustainable development and ensure safe access at different levels for all individuals.
