Duties of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs

  1. Develop and implement academic policies and procedures at the college, including developing and updating study plans and curricula and organizing examinations, tests and marking.
  2. Dealing with issues of scientific research and technological development in the college, including encouraging scientific research, organizing scientific seminars and conferences, and cooperating with researchers and the external academic community.
  3. Working to develop and implement academic education programs and continuing training for faculty members, including developing study plans, evaluating academic programs, and following up on their implementation.
  4. Monitoring the quality of the educational process and providing support and guidance to faculty members regarding continuous improvement of academic performance and application of quality and accreditation policies.
  5. Working to develop and implement scientific and vocational training programs for students, including providing academic support, advice and guidance to students in choosing courses and specializations and assisting in developing their academic skills.
  6. Dealing with academic evaluation issues, including organizing academic committees, following up on correction and evaluation processes, and announcing results.
  7. Working to enhance academic and research cooperation and partnerships with local, regional and international bodies, including coordinating academic and research exchange and cooperation in the areas of research and technological development.
  8. Follow up on the development of academic and research cadres at the college, including encouraging continuous training and development for faculty members and supporting them in applying for academic degrees and promotions.
  9. Dealing with academic classification and accreditation issues, including improving and ensuring quality and compliance with local and international academic standards.
  10. Follow up on issues of developing new academic programs and updating existing programs based on labor market needs and scientific and technical developments.
  11. Coordinating and following up on the organization of scientific seminars, workshops, conferences and other academic events at the college.
  12. Working to implement university and college policies and other academic, research, development and organizational procedures within the framework of academic jurisdiction.
