The College of Engineering/Al-Muthanna University was established on 2008/7/24, in accordance with University Order No. 4450, with the tireless efforts of an elite group of qualified professors and employees.
The college received its students for more than a year in order to prepare the requirements for the opening of the college, including methodological materials, laboratories, workshops, and administrative and technical supplies.
Two scientific departments were opened: the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering at the beginning of its first academic year. In 2013, the Department of Architectural Engineering was opened, which It includes (8) teachers who hold advanced degrees in architecture and medieval arts. When it was established, the college included 17 teachers with advanced degrees in engineering specializations Diversified and 30 administrative and technical staff, and two years after its opening, the number of professors reached 43 teaching staff and 64 employees, and efforts are still continuing to employ professors and employees in a manner consistent with the developments witnessed by the college.
